Wow what a busy but fantastic final week we have had before our Easter holidays. I am so proud of...
Welcome Back Year 3
Welcome back everybody. It was lovely to see you all. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and enjoyed themselves.
For our first few days, we have jumped straight back into learning. We began by learning what our new topic is, it's . . . Robin of Sherwood by Michael Morpurgo! We have zoomed forward a few centuries since the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons and are now in the Medieval Era. We will be learning many new things and if you want to know what they will be, have a look at this term's Holistic Plan.
To start our learning, we created a mind map of all the things we already know. We then moved onto doing our Big Art project. This term we have created a massive tree in our classroom! We did this by creating mixed media piece of art work that emulates the look and feel of bark. We have also started the first of our two science topics for the term... Rocks and Soils. Today we have been making scientific observations and drawings to help us understand what rocks actually are.
Before we say goodbye for the weekend, Miss Holland and I would like to say a big thank you for all the lovely Christmas cards and Christmas gifts we received. . . thank you!
Hope you have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday for the first full week of the Spring Term,
Miss Pennance
