Happy New Year, year one! This is not the way we wanted to start our new year but everyone has...
Welcome Back Year 3
Welcome back everybody!
Did you have a nice Easter Holiday? It has been lovely to see you all again and I hope you have enjoyed our first week back together.
This week we jumped straight into Big Art and became engrossed with the continents of the world. This is because we are making a gigantic map a huge world map to help us track Michael's sea adventure around the globe. Who's Michael? He is the main character in our new book Kensuke's Kingdom. This is a great story and we will be learning so many new things as we follow Michael on his adventure. We have already learnt about horizontal, vertical, diagonal, parallel and perpendicular lines! We have then used this knowledge to help us understand lines of longitude and latitude. Did you know that the Equator is a line of latitude? If you would like to know more about what we will be learning this term, please go to our class page and have a look at the Holistic Plan.
Thank you for a lovely week back! Enjoy your weekend and see you on Monday,
Miss P
