A huge thank you all once again for your support in these challenging times! Seesaw has been...
Welcome back Reception
Happy New Year. It has been great to see you all this week after our Christmas break.
We have begun our story Something Different, and our classroom has been transformed by creating a scene from the story. During our focus on big art, we have all been creative. Our class is full of artists! We have been working in groups to create a piece of scratched effect art. If you would like to come and visit, please pop in, I'm sure the children would love to show you what we have done. I can't wait to see how our role play area develops next week.
Being a good spy has helped us to write sentences this week. Using an image from the story we have chosen lots of different ideas to write sentences about. In phonics we have looked at the e sound and investigated different words that rhyme.
Our focus for Numeracy is from the world of measures. We have been thinking about words to describe different pathways, short, long and longer. We have been measuring using different objects too.
It has been great to see us work in different groups too. We enjoyed our circle time activity to work as a team and take our crayons on a journey.
Next week we are going to think about being photographers!
Have a good weekend.
