A visit from the Lighthouse Keeper
What a lovely way to end our year in Year 1. We celebrated the children's talents in our Wybunbury's Got Talent show and then finished off our week with a surprise visit from Mr and Mrs Grinling, who had come to visit us all the way from the lighthouse. The children were so excited to meet the lighthouse keeper and his wife and we were very lucky that they had made time to see us. It's a busy job being a lighthouse keeper! Mrs Grinling even had time to make us some yummy cakes which the children enjoyed. Mr Grinling wasn't allowed one though as Mrs Grinling said he had to be healthy. He told us he had enjoyed reading our healthy ideas which we had written to him a few weeks ago. The children shared their learning based around the books with Mr and Mrs Grinling who were very impressed!
