Wow what a busy but fantastic final week we have had before our Easter holidays. I am so proud of...
Ugly bug ball !
Gotta crawl, gotta crawl,
to the ugly bug ball !
What a fantastic day we have had reception, dressed as the most amazing minibeasts!
From hungry caterpillars to buzzy bees, fluttering butterflies and singing crickets, we have boogied away to our ball music, mimicking the movements and characteristics of our chosen minibeast.
After watching the flight of the bumblebee song by Nikolai Rimsky- Korsakov, we took turns being the plants, flowers and leaves as the bumblebees scurried around us in time to the music, searching for pollen and nectar. This was incredible fun but tiring after a few goes. It was a good job we had the most yummiest minibeast snacks to keep us going today!
Team work and keeping focused were skills we definitely needed in our hungry caterpillar game as we had to pass the balloon over and under each other in a race to get it to the end of the caterpillar the quickest. Our competitive streaks certainly emerged out of our cocoons for this one!
A huge thank you to all the mums and dads that made costumes and baked delicious goodies for us today, we really appreciated it. We had a fantastic day, and you made it all possible for us.
Sleep well my little bugs.
See you in the morning
Mrs Taylor
