Happy New Year, year one! This is not the way we wanted to start our new year but everyone has...
This Week In Year 4
We have been very busy this week!
In Literacy we have become Detective Inspectors and we conducted interviews; we learnt about how to record what was said as direct or reported speech. We also recorded our interviews in the form of a play script and we have moved onto writing a formal Police Incident Report.
In Numeracy, we have been learning about how to round a 4 digit number to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. Once we learnt the tricks and tips, it wasn't as hard as we first thought. Can you remember what the tips were?
In the afternoons we have completed several activities. In P.E we learnt about Rounders and striking and fielding. Next, we continued our art studies by learning about primary, secondary and tertiary colours, as well as practising how to make them. We also started our science topic... investigating how many teeth we have in our mouths and what they are called. We then went on to make a model of our own mouth! We also looked at what a tooth is made of out. Lastly, everybody investigated Tudor food and created a rich person's menu and a poor person's menu.
