Wow what a busy but fantastic final week we have had before our Easter holidays. I am so proud of...
This week in Year 1...
We have had a busy week this week! We have been continuing our learning about electricity and have been building circuits ready to make our Naughty Buses into 'Night Buses'. Our Design and Technology lessons have been linked to the Naughty Bus too. We have started to think about how we can make supports for our paper Naughty Buses to stand up. Some ideas were foam, lolly sticks and folded card to make the paper 'strong'. Have a look at some of our work so far! In literacy, we have been writing letters to the Naughty Bus in London and posted them to ask him to start being good in our classroom! The children might have told you what he's been up so far...moving the books and putting them in the fridge, going up a tree in the Reception garden and driving over the story chair on the field. He even sent us some pictures to prove it!
Inspired by the video of the Naughty Bus (link in last week's update) we decided we would make our own Naughty Bus adventures using the iPads. The children planned the story and then worked together to each film part of the story. They have decided that they want a 'preview' on the website and save the full video for their study work books. We had a vote for the clip to show you and we will show you this next week when we have put it all together! We had such good fun filming this and enjoyed watching it in full as a class.
