Well done for another week of home learning. I am proud of each and every one of you (and your mums...

We hope you enjoy this new collection of reimagined images and verses from Julia Donaldson and Axel...
This week in Reception
We have had a wonderful week and it all began with our Sports Day on Monday. The weather was breezy and kept us cool. We tried so hard in each race — and that includes the Mums and Dads too! Well done to all of Reception for taking part so confidently — the overall winning team was the Greens. Thank you to everyone who came to support us.
I am really pleased that we are getting used to our morning routine and we have been busy learners all week. We have enjoyed reading the story Handa's Surprise and we have had great fun retelling the story with actions, acting it out on the stage, drawing story maps and writing our own versions. What a busy week of developing our writing!
In Numeracy we have thought about how long a minute might be and taken part in lots of minute races. Alex told us that we needed to count to 60, so off we went to do a variety of races with our stop watch to count up to 60 seconds.
We talked about why our Dad's are so special to us as we drew pictures for our Fathers Day cards. In RE you have been finding out about Prayers from around the world and we now have a set of prayer flags hanging in our classroom.
Have a lovely weekend, this week has flown by!
