What talent does Wybunbury have! Last night our very own musicians shared their amazing talents to a packed hall full of people. Children from across school, beginners who have been playing just a few months to some of our older children who have been learning instruments for a couple of years, all stood confidently on stage and performed to the delighted audience. There was such a range of talent on show — piano; keyboard; violin; cornet; trombone; tuba; guitar; flute, percussion and singing. Our choir performed beautifully and even encouraged the entire audience to participate in a round of 3 songs! Well done to all the children who took part last night — you were amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you and I'm sure everyone else did too!
Local choir, Sing up, who rehearse in school each Tuesday evening, opened our evening — a huge thank you for coming , it was lovely that our community could share their talents too.
There are many thank you to people who made last night such a success — Mrs Brittain and Mr Henderson who lead our choir; Mrs Lacey, Mr Goodwin, Miss Bradbury and Mr Eccles our Music4Life instrumental teachers; Mr and Mrs O'Donnell for their generous donation of wine for the event; all the staff for dressing the hall, doing the shopping, chopping strawberries and serving all evening; the parents for coming and supporting the children in learning music; and last, but most importantly, THE CHILDREN — you were fab!
