Happy New Year, year one! This is not the way we wanted to start our new year but everyone has...
St.Patrick's Day Fun-Preschool
Today Tuesday 17th March Preschool celebrated St. Patrick's Day.
We learnt the national emblem of Ireland was the Shamrock, we made our own shamrock leaf hats.
We created leprechauns and we found out that they are a type of fairy , they are mischievous and they like to spend their time making and mending shoes and have a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow — we were very lucky and managed to find a pot of gold filled with gold chocolate coins!
We had lots of fun getting messy with shaving foam and paints, using our hands we explored and found when we combined it made rainbows patterns.
We made gold coins then used them to help with our numbers, we found leprechaun pots with numbers on them and had to make sure the correct number of coins were counted out into the pot.
To develop our fine motor skills we had to sort rainbow drops using tweezers into colours, this was very tricky!
Thank you children for making the effort to wear green today, you all looked fab!
