Happy St Patrick's Day!

Thank you for all wearing green today, we found out it was a tradition that people wear green to celebrate this day. The colour green is used to represent Ireland and Saint Patrick because of the shamrock. We created our own shamrock hats and learnt that Shamrocks are also used to symbolise Ireland as a country.

Next we created our very own leprechaun using a paper plate and paint. The leprechaun is a type of fairy usually taking the form of an old man who enjoys mischief — we decided that at times we can be quite mischievous too! ;)

We ended our morning creating the Irish flag and painting rainbows — I wonder if we will find a pot of gold at the end of them.

Another fun-filled day has been had.

Have a well- earned rest this weekend. Next we will begin thinking about spring and Easter,
