Sports News: EFL Cup Cheshire Finals
Today our football team took part in the EFL Cheshire Finals against schools all over Cheshire.
We were put into a tricky group and had to play 3 games to qualify as winners.
In our first game we went ahead through a goal from Mani, unfortunately Holmes Chapel equalised with a great free kick, the result finished 1-1.
In our 2nd game we played a very strong Leighton team who went 3-0 up very quickly, however our boys did not give up and eventually it paid off with a right foot thunderbolt from Hayden. The result finished 3-1.
In our final game we had a bit of a thriller. A brace from Hayden and a top corner smash from Callum was not enough for the win. The result finished 4-3 to Alsager.
Everybody played superbly and we were very unlucky, a big shout out to our brilliant keeper; Harry Bayley, our defenders; Hayden, Harvey and Rueben and our attackers; Sammy, Callum, Max and Mani!
I'd also like to say a big thank you to all the parents who came along to support in the cold!
Mr Dale
