Happy New Year, year one! This is not the way we wanted to start our new year but everyone has...
Signs of spring
Today we have been finding out signs of spring.
The children knew so many signs of spring, I was very impressed!
Edward — "everything grows"
Alice — "daffodils"
Finn — "snowdrops"
Annabelle — "baby chicks"
Bobby — "lambs"
Claudia — "flowers grow"
In our writing activity, children drew signs of spring and some of our older children were able to form letters to write words next to their drawings — wow!!
We have developed our fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination by peeling the back of stickers and pressing down on paper to create an Easter/spring picture. We have also used scoops to fill plastic eggs and wrapped wool around our own wooden crosses.
In our creative activity we used plastic eggs to print, Elsie observed it printed a "circle", what a clever clogs!
Haven't we done so much today!? We will continue these activities throughout our week.
