Science Week Y6

Home » News » Science Week Y6

What a great week we've had exploring forces in Y6. Can you remember the 7 S rules for what forces can do?

We've watched demonstrations to see forces at work and had fun seeing forces in action as we investigated. We've made 'exploding' weapons, catapults and caterpillars, we've made balloon rockets and tested them vertically and horizontally — and even investigated 'How strong is spaghetti'!

Today we had an amazing hour in the Star Lab — and enjoyed this dressed as scientists for our Y6 end of year fundraiser.

Well done to Sam for building his own balancing dove, to Josh for sharing a forces demonstration each day, and to Emily and Chloe for building the balloon rocket which travelled the furthest.

Don't forget to do some star-gazing this weekend to see if you can find the constellations and planets you learned about today.

Fantastic science fun! Well done Year 6.
