Wow what a busy but fantastic final week we have had before our Easter holidays. I am so proud of...
RSPCA Looking after animals with Reception
Today Hilary Crane from RSPCA Stapely Grange came into Reception with a whole host of lovely learning resources to facilitate a wonderful hands on learning session. We learnt all about looking after pets and how to make moth and butterfly food.
Our classroom was an exciting sight when we first walked in. There were lots of animals that needed our attention. We dressed up as vets and nurses, tended to broken bones and gave the animals food and medicine. We found out that if we create moth food we then help to encourage moths and other wildlife. We found out about the food chain where moths are eaten by bats and then bats are eaten by owls. We all gathered on the school field to paint our moth goo onto the trees. This was a great sticky activity. Have a look out for the trees nearest to the prayer shed as you walk past.
Thank you to RSPCA for joining us this morning.
