This week has been all about exploring. Our treasure maps have been incorporated into lots of different role play ideas. The options for transport in our garden have increased to include aeroplanes, trains and bikes! What an adventurous week we have had.

In Numeracy we have got to know a giraffe called Abigail who loves to count. Our Numeracy story has inspired to find out more about counting. We thought about what counting is... 'Counting is when your voice says 1,2,3,4,5...' Isabelle.

We have celebrated being a Kiva school this week. Our Kiva day has allowed us to think about our likes and dislikes. As a class we decided that we like to share, dress up, have quiet times, and take turns. Our Buddies have also got to know us more this week as we prepare for the Welcome Worship at St Chad's Church.

In RE we have talked about how Harvest is celebrated around the world and why Christians like to say thank you to God for the Harvest. As a class we have responded by writing a class prayer.

Dear God,
Thank you for the World,
and the food we eat,
Thank you for the farmers and the harvesters,
Thank you red strawberries,
Thank you for the sun that helps the food to grow,
Thank you for vegetables that make us healthy and grow.

A special certificate has been given out for our first Guardian Angel this week. Each week we award one child within worship. It was lovely to see so many parents in our Community Worship on Wednesday. Please come and join us on a Wednesday morning at 9am.

A big thank you to Mrs Bratt for organising our Pyjama Party on Thursday evening. We had a great time finding out how important it is to clean our teeth.

See you on Monday to continue our Explorer's theme.
