How to make apple pie and see the world has led our learning this week, and what fun we have had! We have all visited our school orchard, collected apples and used them to make an apple pie with Mrs Taylor.

We have tasted apples from New Zealand, the Netherlands, England and France to decide which apple was our favourite. In Literacy this week we have been writing all about what we would pack in our suitcase for a trip around the world and for this, we have been listening for more and more sounds in words. I have been really impressed by the way we are developing our letter formation.

Greeting time this week has given us the opportunity to say hello in different languages and our PE focus has been jumping in different ways as we visited each country. Jumping in Jamaica was my favourite!

We are also making preparations for our Welcome worship and our Harvest celebration next week — we have lots to look forward to.

Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Pointon
