Our Welcome Worship has been a great way to reflect on our first half term in school. We enjoyed listening to the individual responses from our Year 6 buddies. It was great to visit St. Chad's for the first time as a class. A big thank you to Mrs A. Hughes for creating our welcome gifts.

This week has been a week full of counting. We have read the beautiful story book called Abigail. Abigail is a giraffe who loves to count. On World Maths Day we explored what we think counting is, Joe Joe encouraged us to count forwards and backwards. We enjoyed using the large counting sticks on the playground. We took turns and counted with a steady beat.

In Phonics we have thought carefully about the letter sound n. We have learnt how to pronounce it and segment words with the n sound in. Its been great to see our letter formation develop this week.

Thank you to Mrs Yeomans this week. Our mystery reader story was a family favourite — Room on the Broom. We enjoyed listening to all the rhyming words.

I hope you enjoy your home school link activity this week, I will look forward to hearing all about what you collect, estimate and count in your counting bags.
