We have had a fun first week back. Thank you to all the class for welcoming Austin to Wybunbury Delves.

In Phonics we have moved onto learn our last letter sounds from the alphabet j, v, w, x. The Quiet Monsters have come into the classroom to listen to our learning in Reading time. It has been great to see you take care of the monsters. We have also chosen a superhero character to help develop our super powers as readers.

In Numeracy we have been singing songs to think about 1 more and 1 less. Today we enjoyed singing a one less song with counting sticks in the rain! We are becoming confident to count as a group using lots of actions to represent the numbers.

We have enjoyed exploring new areas in our classroom this week. Our new construction area has been a big hit! Outside we have been building roads, moving on balance boards and a TREX has been to visit us too. Our PE lesson this week was a wonderful start to our Dance unit.

On Wednesday the nurses came in to measure our weight and height so please expect a letter through the post with further details.

We are also planning our first class visit. Details to follow next week!

Have a great weekend,

Miss SIlvester
