Another very busy week in reception!

This week we have been focusing our literacy learning on asking questions about dinosaurs and writing these down carefully, using a question mark at the end of our sentence. We then used technology and books to find out the answers. This has helped us to recognise the different features of dinosaurs too.

Did you know a Triceratops had roughly 800 teeth ! And it's head is taller than your dad- it can be 2.5 meters long !

In number work we have been making pictograms and tally charts about dinosaurs so people can find out which is our favourite dinosaur in class.

We now have a wonderful array of creative and colourful dinosaurs in class, made as part of our home school link. It's amazing what you can do with a few egg cartons and cereal boxes! A big thank you to all the parents who have helped create them over this past week.

Thankfully the weather has been a little kinder to us this week and we have enjoyed the fresh air in our garden. We have begun to prepare it for spring time, weeding and checking our bird feeders and preparing the vegetable beds for planting our new crops.

Enjoy the weekend
Mrs Taylor
