Another great week in reception!

What a fantastic treat it was on Monday to find our garden full of snow and my goodness we made the most of it, making snow angels and snowmen.

In our learning this week we have looked at the role of a postman and how they serve our community. We have watched how letters are posted, collected, sorted and delivered to our homes. We have enjoyed reading the Jolly Christmas postman by Janet and Allan Ahlberg which inspired us to set up our own post office. We have been writing letters to each other and the characters from the story. I hope the big bad wolf likes his letter!

In number work we have been completing activities against the clock. Our highest score for picking up minibeasts with tweezers in 30 seconds is 18. Worth mentioning, no real minibeasts were used in this activity!

Today we celebrated Christmas and the Christian values of love, joy and peace with messy church. It was such a wonderful morning, thank you to all the parents for attending.
A lovely way to finish off a lovely week!

Have a relaxing weekend
Mrs Taylor
