Reading for pleasure news
LIBRARY
A huge thank you to Mrs Pascall (Matthew's mum) for volunteering to help our Year 5 librarians. They've planned lots of great ideas to keep us all reading for pleasure! Mrs Pascall will be in the library on Tuesdays. Look out for KS1 and KS2 story time slots to enjoy listening to a great story together!
Well done to all those who have joined the Autumn Reading Challenge for KS1 and 2 currently being run in school. Do keep up your reading!
Our librarians will keep you up to date with their regular news.
Michael Morpurgo, a very successful children's author, is 70 years old this year. Why don't we celebrate by making November ' I must read a Michael Morpurgo book' month. We have a huge selection of his books in the library. We're sure that there is a book to suit everyone's taste!
BOOK FAIR
Do check out the School's Book Fair too on Tuesday and Wednesday during our Parent's Evenings!
Useful Website
Also, Lovereading4kids.co.uk is a great website to introduce you to lots of new, exciting reads (for free). You can read extracts from a huge selection of books aimed at particular age groups, by author or theme!
Happy reading!!
