Preschool - Our Week
Our week began with a visit from the giant, he left gigantic footprints and a letter instructing us to find objects that were longer, shorter and the same as his footprints. We set off in our key person groups to explore. Freddie lay down and said "I'm longer than the footprint" Eliza observed "This is shorter than the footprint" pointing at a wet spot on the floor. Wonderful exploring. Can you notice objects taller and shorter than you at home over the weekend?
We have continued to develop our fine-motor skills, using tweezers to transport different sized beans and have concentrated on our cutting skills, some of the children find cutting quite tricky so we have practised by cutting up straws and play dough.
In phonics we have introduced our new letter sounds j,v,w,x and your new home-link packs are in trays.
We have been lucky enough to have 2 days which we have been excited by the snow and have used the big playground to enjoy it and ride around on our bikes and scooters.
The children have spent time to create your Mother's Day cards, cutting out the handprints, sticking it together, selecting which colour card to use and challenged themselves to write a message inside — you mummy's are certainly loved!
Have a lovely weekend and hope you mummy's get chance to put your feet up and relax on Sunday.
