Hi Preschool,

Sorry i have been so quiet on here, nativity seems to have taken over!

You should now all have received information regarding your child's costume for our nativity. Information has gone into your child's tray, please let me know if you have not received this.

The children have been busy with nativity rehearsals during the first hour of our mornings, they have been fantastic in learning songs and practising their roles — I am very proud of them all.

We linked our new letter to learn as 'n' for nativity. We have looked at what sound this makes and learnt how to form the letter correctly, we also thought of other words that began with'n' these included nose, neck, net, no......

We have focused our outdoor activities on developing our gross motor skills, we have crawled through tunnels, jumped over hurdles on our horses, peddalled on scooters, kicked a ball and some of us were even brave enough to jump from our tyre all by themselves — wow!

Our learning inside has been looking at shape, we used play dough and shapes to create pictures and patterns, we also cut out shapes using shape cutters, we have been naming shapes that we can see in our environment eg the tyre is a circle. We have also been making arrangements with shape using wooden blocks

Thank you to all those children who donated to children in need and dressed up, you all looked fab, we enjoyed colouring in our pudsey bear pictures, choosing our colours carefully, we observed pudsey was mainly yellow and had different colour spots across his bandage.

A quick reminder it is our key person coffee morning on Tuesday.
