This week in PE we have been discussing why PE is part of the school curriculum and what the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle are. We discovered that children aged between 5-18 years old are recommended to take part in 60 minutes of physical activity each day! And at this age it is particularly important for muscle and bone development. We also discussed the different activities that we could take part in to achieve our 60 minutes. We used the website below for all our information and then completed one of the suggested aerobic exercise videos. We had a lot of sweaty children by the end.
