Well done for another week of home learning. I am proud of each and every one of you (and your mums...

We hope you enjoy this new collection of reimagined images and verses from Julia Donaldson and Axel...
Our Week in Year 2
This week has been our time to shine as authors! We have been excited to take pictures on the iPad to show how Leon feels in different parts of the story. We have then explored how these photos can help us create a story board. This has all helped us to be authors of our own Leon and the Place Between story. Lots of you have been authors at home too this week, well done!
In Numeracy it was great to see the connections being made between our signs +, -, x and ÷. The division sign has been a big part of our learning this week and yesterday we were using a number line to do repeated subtraction.
Our gymnastic work has enabled us to practise lots of taking off and landing and travelling to find good spaces both on and off the apparatus.
In RE at the moment, we are learning about Jesus the Storyteller and have enjoyed learning about the story of the Lost Sheep. We thought about the question; Christians believe that God is like a shepherd, why? Sam helped us to make the link to how people are God's sheep and William B thinks the sheep may be lost but really it could be us. We now know that a Parable is a story Jesus tells and James S told us that a moral is the meaning of a story.
