Well done for another week of home learning. I am proud of each and every one of you (and your mums...

We hope you enjoy this new collection of reimagined images and verses from Julia Donaldson and Axel...
Our Week in Reception
This week we have enjoyed getting to know the Rainbow fish story. Firstly we read the story and then we watched an online version to compare. Feelings are a big part of the story so it has been great to think how it feels to share particularly when we have things that are precious to us and not easy to share. We have continued to be busy writers this week, writing about the Rainbow Fish at different parts of the story.
In Numeracy we have enjoyed creating patterns in the garden, and you have all been able to show off your knowledge of coins and money. We have covered the rainbow fish with 1p and 2p scales to count how much we have altogether.
During our Kiva afternoon, we have thought about how important working together and being a good listener is. We asked our friends to guide us over an obstacle course. This became easier when we described each step. It was great to be able to see work together and take turns.
In PE our focus was to develop our jumping skills to see if we can practise landing softly. We are looking forward to getting the apparatus out next week so we can jump from different levels.
Isabelle has had a great idea for a competition, and with the help of a few friends, we now have an area in the classroom set up to take part. We have also enjoyed seeing your rainbow fish pictures and they are now hanging in the classroom.
Our Marvellous Me box is nearly ready to go home. We will pick a name out of a pot next week to see who will be the first person to take it home.
