Our Week in Reception

Home » News » Our Week in Reception

We had a wonderful day at Fordhall farm on Tuesday. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed helping farmer Dan tend to the farm. The highlights were feeding the pigs and chickens and getting to see the baby lambs. The woodland area was an exciting space for us all to sing, make new homes for animals and explore.

There has been lots of talk and writing generated from our experiences at the farm this week. In Numeracy we used photos of the farm to look for 2D shapes, then we went outside to create these shapes on the playground.

We have also been looking after the caterpillars which are changing and growing every day. One of our Easter songs, 'A tiny seed was sleeping,' has helped us to think about new life again this week.

I am looking forward to all of our Easter activities next week. I hope you like the invitations!
