A huge thank you all once again for your support in these challenging times! Seesaw has been...
Happy New Year, year one! This is not the way we wanted to start our new year but everyone has...
Our Week in Reception
This week has definitely been an action packed week. We have thoroughly enjoyed the sporting activities. Firstly I would like to congratulate all of Reception for their commitment to Sports Day. We were fantastic in each event and it was great to see everyone being supportive to each other. What great sports you are! We have really enjoyed taking part in a Judo session and a Games session too. Following the Judo session, Harriet told me all about it, 'I liked the animal game. I enjoyed pretending to an animal before I got caught.'
In Numeracy this week we have looked at positional language. We saw some of Ginger's holiday pictures from Italy and had to work out how to describe where Ginger was. We then had our own turns at placing Ginger in various places and describing where he was. Later in the week we moved on to looking at the difference between night and day and ordering the different types of activities we do during these times. We also touched on telling the time by ordering the different clock faces.
In Literacy we have been writing facts about special landmarks in Italy and compiling a book using the colours of the Italian flag. I am looking forward to reading them next week. In Phonics we have looked back on our tricky words to see how far we have come in writing them on our own.
Have a restful weekend in the sunshine,
Miss Silvester
