Our Week in Reception
'See, think, wonder....'
We have jumped into the Science World to investigate how Mr Magnet can make friends. It was great to paint with magnets and make a paper clip chain train using the pull of the magnet. We made some great scientific discoveries.
In Numeracy we have explored what one more means using Numicon and by jumping on a numberline. We are counting with confident voices and have used the giant counting sticks outside.
To continue our theme on Difference and Diversity we have read the story Something Else. We talked about what was going to happen, thinking about how the main character Something Else feels. This book has also given us an opportunity to talk about how we can welcome new people into our classroom.
We said a huge thank you to Mr Mellor and Mr Jones from Crewe Alex as this week was our last football training session. It was great to see you all take part in a football tournament.
A busy half term, thank you for all your smiling faces and enthusiasm Reception. Have a lovely half term holiday,
Miss Silvester
