So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...

Y6 you are just superstars. There are no other words to describe how I feel about you all in these...
Our learning this week
Phew ! What another busy week we have had in reception.
We have been learning all about animal homes through the story of the Gruffalo's child. We explored our forest school area to see if we could identify different types of animal homes. We then created our own from clay, twigs and leaves. They look brilliant!
In maths, we have been ordering woodland creatures from biggest to smallest and sorting animals into their different habitats.
In Literacy we have been writing lists of materials needed to create our animal homes from our designs.
We have almost finished our Paul Horton art project too. Mrs Taylor was very excited to meet him in Keswick last weekend and he was very keen to see our finished work. We have added a final layer of ink onto our pastel base and the colours now look stunning. I think he will be very impressed when we send him a photograph.
We have also spent a little time with our year 6 buddies in preparation for our new starter's service on Tuesday afternoon. We look forward to seeing you there.
Have a lovely weekend
Kind Regards
Mrs Taylor
