Well... Santa had to learn some new skills this year. He and his elves magically sent each class a...
Our First Week in Year 2
We have had a lovely few days in Year 2. What a lovely class you are! We have enjoyed making our big tractor for our big art project and have made our own tractors out of buttons. First we drew them using a step by step approach and then we chose which colours we wanted. I'm sure you'll agree they have done a fantastic job! In English, we have started chapter one of our class book 'The Sheep Pig' by Dick King-Smith. So far, we have found out that Farmer Hogget has visited a fair after hearing a squealing noise! The squealing noise was a little piglet who was being picked up by people at the fair. When Farmer Hogget picked him up to guess his weight, the piglet stopped squealing and he seemed to like him. We acted this part of the story out with our farmer cap and our special class pig. We wrote about the story so far too. In maths, we have been looking at number sequences and missing numbers.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. Have a lovely weekend!
