Our First Full Week in Reception
Our outdoor activity time has been a huge hit this week! We have explored the garden to collect ingredients for our silly soup, created dens and been busy in the sand and water trays.
The planning ideas that we came up with last week have really taken shape. We have been making all sorts of bracelets, the clay hearts are now drying out and the puppets have been very busy too.
In phonics this week we have been introduced to Croc and he has been helping us to learn the 's' sound. Silly socks sat in soup! We are enjoying singing the alphabet song . We have sent a home link activity this week to support out phonics work with the 's' sound.
As a Kiva school and part of our PSHE curriculum (more information to follow), we have introduced that we are a school that helps everyone to stay safe and care about each other.
We will be planning more ideas later on today so I'm looking forward to getting to know more about what you would like to learn .
We have received a lovely message from the kitchen this week to say that they are very impressed how we have settled into our lunchtime routine and that we are always keen to try new foods and add extra from the salad bar.
As a reminder there will be a Parent Partnership Meeting on Tuesday at 5.30pm. We hope to see you then.
Have a super weekend smiling in the sunshine!
Miss Silvester
