Our Airport Day

Home » News » Our Airport Day

On Monday we arrived at school with our suitcases ready for a flight to Italy. We carried our bags to check in, got our boarding passes and waited at the departure gate to board the plane. Our pilot Mr Cockram introduced the journey ahead of us and helped all the cabin staff to do the final checks.

Our day in Italy started with a visit to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We looked on Google Earth to see what type of place Pisa is and then we started to think about a leaning tower which is close to us — Wybunbury Church Tower. This helped us to draw our own leaning towers of Pisa.

Our next stop was Venice, and we had a think why all the roads looked blue on the satellite picture. We discovered that Venice is full of canals. Our challenge was to work in teams to create a Rialto Bridge for Ginger our class bear to travel across. What great team work Reception!

Later in the afternoon we visited Naples to design our own pizzas and visit an Italian restaurant.

Not long later, we collected our bags and boarded our plane ready to arrive back in Wybunbury for home time.

Thank you for such a lovely day Reception.
