So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside !
What a fantastic way to finish our last full week together reception by enjoying a seaside themed day.
This past term we have been learning all about ocean life with our chosen book Flotsam and recalled our own experiences about being by the sea. Our day was packed with so many fun activities from paddling in the pool to holding a sandcastle competition to see who could build the most unusual and creative sandcastle. We played seaside games and sang sea shanties.
A huge thank you mums and dads for all the delicious cakes and savoury food for our scrummy seaside picnic, we were certainly well fed all day.
Sports day took place on Thursday morning, it was lovely to see all of reception racing well and trying our best! Congratulations to Green Team and well done to everybody who raced!
We have also kept busy with our daily mile this week, taking advantage of the sunny weather and enjoying our warm afternoons in the fresh air.
This week we have been very busy with our Study Work. Throughout the week, we've added to pages and created our front covers. We don't want to give away too much about what we have been doing as we are very excited to show them to parents on Monday and would like them to be a lovely surprise!
Have a lovely weekend
