Off To Stanley Head Y6 Go

Home » News » Off To Stanley Head Y6 Go

After an early start into school we arrived at Stanley Head ready to split into two groups and receive our information talk.
One group headed off to the lake whilst the other headed into a woodland area. Canoeing and kayaking were our water activities and crate stacking and the low ropes were our woodland activities.
We swapped over after lunch allowing all of us to take a turn on each activity. Everyone gave 100% effort on each one and most of us jumped into the lake at the end of the water activity. Thank goodness for our dry clothes!
We carefully built the crates as we stepped from one stack to another. Everyone had their own fears to overcome and the guide said that we had the school record of building 21 crates in one stack. Well done Y6 as three groups made this happen. Thank you to Amelia and Jess Y for supporting Mrs Lawler and myself as we climbed the stacks too! Great support was offered on each activity and I was so proud of everyone.
Thank you to Mrs Lawler and Mrs Whittingham for coming along on our visit. Now to move onto Primary College, we are ready for our next challenge.
