We have been busy in Year 1! Thank you to Martha and Solomon who have taken our photos for our news this week.

We have been thinking about creating 'an amazing adventure' in Literacy. We explored our story for ideas and we found a map showing where the bus had travelled. The volcano and the snow capped mountains were our favourite. We were then all set to decide on our own destinations, where would we like the bus to go? We have been practising writing words in a list and listening for the sounds in longer words.

Our Numeracy activities this week have given us the opportunity to explore numbers in counting songs, pictures and number sentences. Over the last couple of days we have been finding out about sequences, and when we had the chance to do our own, our number knowledge was fantastic. Well done Year 1.

We began our week with our PE and Music learning in the afternoon. We have been learning about wheels and axles, friendships and why is it good to spread good news in RE. One Year 1 response was that ' it would make the world a better place.'

Today we celebrated all our achievements in the Animal Agent Reading Challenge. This is a huge achievement and we are proud of how many of Year 1 took part.

Have a lovely weekend.
