Our week has flown by! I can hardly believe that it is Friday already. It might be something to do with our new focus on aeroplanes and flying!

We are enjoying making paper aeroplanes. It has been great to follow instructions as a class and then test them. We are ready to fly them properly next week and I am looking forward to seeing how far they travel. Dougie has had an idea to make a massive paper aeroplane so I am on the look out for a giant piece of paper this weekend! Thank you Dougie for your super idea.

Within our phonics time this week we have been learning the p sound. I have really enjoyed watching the whole class form the letter P in lots of different ways.

We have begun our Numeracy time singing the number rhyme, 'Five Little Ducks' and we have used our fingers to show lots of different numbers. The cubes have also helped us to count numbers from our rhyme and beyond. As you walk through our garden try and spot our new numberline showing all the numbers we have created.

There have been a few visitors this week to mention too. Firstly thank you to our first mystery reader. Finlay thoroughly enjoyed listening to his favourite story being read to the whole class.

On Thursday we met PC Nick and we found out how he keeps us safe. Later that day Hillary from the library came to show us lots of exciting books. I would encourage you to pop into Nantwich library and become a member if you are not already. The books we saw were an example of the range of exciting books available on loan.

I am looking forward to next week's activities, I hope you enjoy making your own aeroplanes this weekend.

Miss Silvester
