Monday is our Mental Health Day

Home » News » Monday is our Mental Health Day

Today as part of our Anti Bullying and Keeping Safe week, we have had a Mental Health and Wellbeing Day.
We have been learning all about mental health, realising that it's not just about feeling sad or ill but also thinking about how we cope and look after ourselves.
In key stage 2, they thought about how you feel, what positive messages you can give to people to help them. The children have started to write messages on bunting. Things like how they look after themselves at school, a tip for cheering up, or an example of how they have helped a friend or been helped by someone.

In Year 1, children drew a picture of themselves and other children from the class thought of positive things about them and recorded them on their paper. These were beautiful and really helped to spread our kindness message.

In Year 2, we have started to explore what makes a family. We read three stories and we found out it doesn't matter where you live, how your family is made up, it is all about love.

Look out for more updates across the week!
