We look forward to welcoming you all back to Spring 2 half term tomorrow — Monday 22nd February. ...
Merry Christmas from Year 1!
We have had a lovely last few days together before Christmas! I think it is safe to say that we are all very excited for Santa now and cannot wait for Christmas to come around!
Everybody in Year 1 should be proud of their very first term, you have been so great and I have loved having you as my class! Our last week together was brilliant; with parties, Christmas dinners and even a film, we loved it!
Our party was on Monday and this gave Mr. Dale the chance to assess children's dance moves, I must say they were quite impressive and he might even use some himself, especially the infamous 'knee slide'! Children danced, played games and ate lots of party food, it was super!
Children were also very interested to look at our new displays, we had lots of guesses about what our next topic would be, but it's TOP SECRET! Thank you to Grace who helped cut leaves and George who helped to tidy using his sturdy brush, what top helpers you are!
Although we had lots of fun, we got a bit upset as Jasmine is leaving our class to go to another school. We said a big goodbye to Jasmine and we gave her a special book along with her own Naughty Bus so that she doesn't forget us! Good luck at your new school, Jasmine.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas and a very happy new year!
Merry Christmas,
Mr. Dale
