Living Art: Ice Poppy

Home » News » Living Art: Ice Poppy

To help the school create a piece of living art inspired by Nele Azevedo's ice soldiers, you have been given a red balloon.

What do you need to do?
1. Fill your balloon with water (be careful not to over fill it).
2. Tie a knot in the end to keep the water in.
3. Place the filled balloon in the freezer (make sure an adult knows).
4. Wait for the water in the balloon to freeze.
5. If you would like to, write the name of a soldier on your balloon. This could be someone from your family or someone whose name is on Wybunbury's war memorial.
6. Leave your balloon in the freezer until you need to bring it to school.
When to bring it in?
2. As you come into school, take your balloon straight onto the field and place it in the large poppy outline.
