Exciting news...

This afternoon, Year 3 and Year 5 tuned in to the 'Cosmic Classroom': A live link with British Astronaut Tim Peake from the International Space Station!

Nearly 300 schools took part, joining in with a live question and answer session. Tens of thousands of children watched live, like us, as Tim answered children's questions and told us all about what life was like in Space.

We stood up, sat down and turned around...such simple movements for us here on Earth. Then we watched as Tim attempted the same simple moves...slightly more tricky in Outer Space!

We saw him play 'ping pong' with a ball of water and watched as he spun, twisted and turned...floating in air!

What a great opportunity. It was no surprise, when I asked in year 3: Who would like to be an astronaut...and every single hand went up!

If there are more 'Cosmic Classroom' opportunities, we'll give other classes a chance to tune in too. It just wasn't possible today due to PE and Music lessons. However, a full recording of the broadcast will be available on the Cosmic Classroom website soon if you would like to take a look at home.

A super science event.
