Our condolences and love to Lewis' family.
Lewis' presence around school was like a bouncing ball of energy- his legs moved so fast, his arms worked as he talked and in his eagerness his words spilled out. I could always tell he was coming down the corridor — punctuated by the noise of him jumping down the steps by my room. Lewis seemed to pack a lot of living into each moment.
Lewis loved football and what a captain he became! I'm humbled by the strength and dedication of his players — TEAM LEWIS. I know he was very much in charge of the game, the boss of his medical team and his support team. A brilliant captain who brought out the best in everyone and whose SMILE rallied us all.
Our sadness makes the world seem a grey place and there will always be a huge sense of loss for Lewis.
I hope that, in time, our memories of Lewis, the LIGHT of his smile and his energy of spirit, SHINE through our tears. I hope there is a rainbow-effect for all of us that takes shape and grows in colour as we remember him and smile as we think of Lewis so full of life and LOVED by so many.
LEWIS may your LIGHT SHINE ON.
With love, Mrs Casserley.
