'a' is for apple crumble

Home » News » 'a' is for apple crumble

Today we made apple crumble with the apples we found in the school orchard.

We had lots of apples to chop so got busy this morning and this afternoon carefully chopping the apples into small pieces. Once we had enough apples the children added sugar and then we cooked the apple in the microwave. Next we made the crumble topping. The children helped to mix the ingredients together using their hands and helped to describe the texture. "It is fluffy like snow" said William. "It's very soft" said Scarlett. We added the mixture and crumble into our own trays ready to take home.

Hope that it tastes yummy — let me know what you think!
