A healthy week at preschool
This week at preschool we have been thinking about how we can stay healthy. We learnt that we need to eat well, exercise and get lots of sleep!
We have been thinking about what foods we need to eat lots of and what foods we can eat in moderation. We have made lots of healthy foods, granola, fruit kebabs and fruit smoothies — yum! At snack time we have introduced different foods from usual, celery, peppers, mange tout, mango, pineapple, pumpkin seeds, cranberries and even honey. The children have been very good at 'trying' foods even if they think they don't think they like them.
We have been chopping lots of different fruit and we have been thinking about safety with knives. Lulu said "Only Tara uses the sharp knife as we don't want to cut our fingers". Great thinking!
In other news this week we have continued to enjoy our buddies coming to play and love saying hi to them at lunch time.
See you all next week for our last full week before the summer holidays,
Tara
