During the week beginning Monday 28th September, we will be celebrating harvest. On Tuesday Y4,5 and 6 celebrate harvest at church and on Thursday Y1, Y2 and Y3 will lead celebrations in school — please visit our calendar for more details. As part of our Harvest, we would like to collect donations for the Trussell Trust Food Bank in Nantwich.
Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. Trussell Trust food banks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK. Last year the network fed over 900,000 people.
Their shopping list includes: Milk (UHT or powdered), Sugar (500g), Long life fruit juice, Tins of Soup, Pasta sauces, Sponge pudding (tin), Tinned Tomatoes, Breakfast cereals, Tinned Rice pudding, Tea Bags, Jar of instant coffee, Instant mash potato, 500gms Rice, 500gms Pasta, Tinned meat/fish, Tinned fruit, Jar of Jam, Packets of biscuits, Snacks. All donations need to be in date and undamaged or the food bank will be unable to accept them.
