Harry Potter Theme Day
Wow! What a fantastic day we have had in Year 4!
I would like to start by saying a HUGE thank you for all the delightful treats we received today. We are absolutely bursting after all the delicious cakes and treats! I was also amazed by all the fantastic costumes. So much thought and preparation had gone into every single one.
Obviously, we couldn't have a Harry Potter day without wands. So, we started off our morning by making our very own. By simply using paper and paint we were able to create something truly magical.
After break time, we created our own broomsticks ready for our Quidditch match. Before we played, we discussed the roles within the game and how a player would be the golden snitch and once caught the game would be over. We played the game with 16 players on each match. The other children cheered on their friends from the side lines. The game only ended when the golden snitch was caught. Everyone played so well and showed lovely sportsmanship.
To end our day, we watched the Harry Potter film in the afternoon. Everyone was given a bag of popcorn and we continued to eat all the amazing food which had been brought in to help celebrate our day.
Thank you again for all the fantastic effort that went into the food and costumes. We had a very special day in Year 4.
Keep a look out for a magical video appearing on our school Youtube channel!
