A Glimmer of light...
is a bomber's delight!
Year 6 enjoyed a World War 2 Artefact session at Shavington High School this week. We learnt how to be trainee air raid wardens, practicing carrying stretchers, using stirrup pumps and sounding the gas rattles. We also found out about lives during the war through a wide range of artefacts, we had to guess who we thought the person was from their effects, the people included an Indian soldier, an army vicar, a school girl, a Navy person and many more. We had a great time and learnt a lot!
