Getting ready for our Party...
What a wonderful week!
Our t-shirts have been transformed and what a great project it was. We used marbles to create the bubbles and wrapped elastic bands to keep them secure. Once they were dyed we revealed the bubble shapes and used fabric pens to create an under the sea design. As well as this, we incorporated how we made the t-shirts into our instruction writing this week. We learnt that we need to be bossy and we don't use our manners when we write instructions.
We have been making preparations to host our under the sea party and celebrate our learning so far this term. At the party we enjoyed taking part in different activities and then shared snacks while we watched an online version of the Rainbow fish. As a class we stood together to pretend to be a shoal of fish. We then performed a song with our Year 6 buddies and they helped us to sing it as a round.
We have been doing a great job with number sentences this week. We have used lots of practical activities to generate our own number sentences with + and — signs. We are learning more and more about subtraction.
In PE we have developed our jumping skills further to challenge ourselves to jump higher or further using the skills we have learnt. I was impressed by the way we were controlling our bodies.
It has been great hearing about all your interests and talents when the Marvellous Me box comes into school. Thank you for choosing lots of interesting things to share.
Have a fantastic week off. I think Ginger, our class bear, will want to share where he has been on his holidays when we get back. I can't wait to find out where he has been.
