What an amazing week we've had! From dressing up on Monday for St. George's day to a wealth of visitors we have had a busy week!
On Monday we welcomed author, Matt Buckingham, to school — he worked with every class and enthused us all with his energy for illustration and writing.
We have continued with our computing workshops provided by specialists, Hi-Impact — Year 1, 2, 4, and 5 had their sessions this week. PC Nick came to visit Y4 with PC Marsden to talk about ESafety.
Friday saw us celebrate International Dance day with a visitor who worked with each class — the hall was buzzing!
And on Tuesday we were all treated to a sneak preview of Alice in Wonderland, this was an amazing achievement — Jess wrote, directed and organised a group of children from across school in their own break times and lunchtimes to create their version of Alice in Wonderland. Wednesday evening saw the performance to a busy hall, all money raised has gone into the Lewis memorial fundraising pot. Well done to all involved.
And on top of all these brilliant extras we have still continued with Maths, English, studywork and all the usual things. Thank you to all staff, and children, for organising these enrichment activities. Further details of our week can be found in the class news items.
